Plot Summary

When multi-millionaire Oscar Khomeyer (Ramon Bieri) dies, he names Leo the Cat (Palmer) as his sole beneficiary. Leo and Oscar were best friends - Oscar was the only person that Leo ever felt was worth talking to. In addition to bequeathing Leo $5 million and his mansion, Oscar also arranged for his caretaker, Gus Barrett (Steve Vinovich), and Gus's family, Louise (Jesse Welles), Bart (Brandon Call), and Veronica (Kellie Martin), to stay on to look after Leo and the mansion. While the Barretts and Leo become better acquainted, Oscar's greedy relatives, Victor (George Wyner) and Paula (Caroline McWilliams) plot to strip Leo of his rightful inheritance and throw the Barretts out in the cold. The close relationship that develops between Leo, Veronica and Bart, initiated primarily in order to improve Leo's lifestyle (after all, why eat cat food when a few well placed words will result in dover sole), becomes critical when one of Victor and Paula's many catnapping schemes finally succeeds.
